- Attendance and tardiness effect a child's learning. The tardy bell rings at 7:45, but the morning routine begins at 7:35 when the students come in the room. This allows the students time to unpack and prepare for the day. They also begin their morning work and class begins at 7:45.
- Your child's safety is our number one concern as WSES. When you come to school, check in at the office for a badge. This is required from 7:00-3:30. If you need to change locations, you must first go to the office for a new badge and then proceed to the new location.
- Please send a water bottle and healthy snack with your child daily. Your child will be allowed to keep their water bottle at their work area throughout the day. Please send only water bottles with pop tops (they have less spills). Please do not send in sweets (cookies, candy, etc), snacks that require a spoon, unhealthy, or messy foods for snacks. Please remember that this is a snack and not a meal. The children are continuing to work during the time they are eating their snack.
- Please send a note with your child if there will be a change in transportation. If the transportation change happens during the day please contact the front office before 1:00. Communicate your child's transportation changes in writing. Do not email the teacher during the day. Teachers are NOT allowed to pull students off of a bus. Mrs. Pryor and Mrs. Jamail are the only people that have that authority on campus.
- Please send a note regarding your child's absence the day they return to class. The notes must be in the office within 5 days of the absence..
- Students may only pass out party invitations at school if all the children in the class are invited. The exception to this rule is if the party is an "all boy or all girl" celebration. Otherwise, the invitations must be mailed or sent electronically. Thank you for your understanding.
